1st Pet

 A couple of weeks ago I took Kaya with me to IFA to buy some plants.  While we were there she saw the rabbits and didn't want to leave without one.  I told her that a rabbit costs a lot of money and takes work to take care of.  I told her if she earned enough money to buy one on her own then we would consider it.

 Little did I know she would do just that.  She took it one step further though and got on KSL.com to look at the classifieds for people selling animals.  She found one that she wanted that came with a cage for $20.  She did a bunch of research on rabbits and made a list of why we should get one and what she would do if we let her.  She then went to her brothers to get them to pool their money together to have enough to pay for everything.

Well as you can see by the pictures, she won.  We went and picked up Oreo.  The kids are loving her.  She is a funny rabbit and is actually potty trained just like a cat.  They love to put a leash on her to take her outside.  She's still a little nervous and likes to hide so we'll see how she does.  The kids are just excited to finally have a pet.

Kaya's Baptism Pictures

 Kaya and her besties (Lauryn, Carlie, and Ellie) all went together to the Salt Lake Temple to have their baptism pictures done by our awesome friend and photographer Brooke.  The girls had so much fun posing and being models for the afternoon.  They all looked so great in their white dresses and Brooke was able to get some great shots.

 This one with the temple is my absolute favorite.

 After we were done we took the girls to The Garden restaurant that is on top of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building.  They gave them balloons that they were able to let go out of their open rooftop.

 These girls have so much fun together and are always acting so silly.  They are too cute.

Last day of Kindergarten

Tanner finished Kindergarten.  He loved Ms. Calhoun.  She was a great teacher.  I can't believe how fast the year went. Now on to first grade and eating school lunch!!

Blue Dolphins

Tanner's Soccer team The Blue Dolphins had a great spring season. They played hard and won most of their games even though they don't officially keep score.


Tanner became a great little defender to keep the other team from scoring. He had a fun time and wants to play again in the fall. Go Dolphins!!

MaX- 9 MoNtHs

Our little Max is already 9 months old. I can't believe it. He such a joy to have around. He has turned into such a great baby. He isn't quite crawling instead he does the army crawl everywhere. It is so funny to watch him. Up until this week though he would just roll everywhere so it's better than that I guess. He finally is enjoying baby food. He absolutely hated it before. It was such a process to try and feed him so it is great that he will finally eat without a fight. We love you Max!!

Kaya's Gymnastics Recital

We always love the gymnastics recitals for Kaya with Jolley's Gymnastics. They did so awesome this year. The girls are getting so great. They did all their new tricks.




It's so fun to see Kaya get so confident and so proud with her accomplishments. She is a great gymnast!! Way to go Kaya!!

Spring Piano Recitals

The kids had their spring piano recital. This was Tanner and his cousin Ethan's first ever recital. They did a great job.

Kaya started out by playing "Party Song" and "Come Follow Me" by herself.

























Then her and Tanner played "Do as I'm Doing" as a duet.








Tanner then played "Lullaby Song" by himself. He did great. He had his music in front of him but I'm pretty sure he had it memorized because he never looked at it. Awesome!!




Then Tanner and Ethan played a duet of "Do as I'm Doing" that was a little different version of the one him and Kaya played together. It was fun to see all they can do. Way to go kids!!

Kaya's School Plays

Kaya's 2nd Grade class this year put on a couple different plays. The first one was a dress up play in March. Their teacher Mrs. Goodman wrote these little short plays for them to be in. Kaya was in one called "The Bremen Town Musicians" . She played a dog and had speaking and singing parts. They were all very cute.


















Later in May they did puppet shows. The kids made their own puppets and wrote out their own words to their plays. They did so good. They were very entertaining.

Cole's Wheeler Farm Field Trip

Cole's preschool took a little field trip to Wheeler Farm. He had a great time seeing all of the animals with his little friends.



They had a great time going on the ride on the back of the tractor around the farm too. It was perfect weather to be at the farm.

Easter 2011

This year for Easter the Easter Bunny went a little crazy. He decided to not only hide Easter eggs all over the house for the kids to find but he also hid their Easter baskets around the house. The kids were so confused when they woke up and went out to the front room where he usually puts their baskets and thought he had forgot to come. They were super excited to find out that he didn't forget and they were just hid. They did a good job finding them.











































They looked so cute dressed up for Easter Sunday. I loved the boys in their blue vests. Such a good color for them. I had to of course put Kaya in pink since she is our only girl. They are such a fun group of kids.







We were so excited for Easter to be later in April this year so it would hopefully be warmer but we weren't that lucky unfortunately. It ended up being pretty cool but the kids didn't mind too much. We went to Grandma Jolley's on Saturday and had a picnic at the park but it got pretty cold and windy so we ended up at her house for the egg hunt. It was still fun.
On Sunday we went to Grandma Newman's house for dinner and another egg hunt. Still cool but we were able to do the egg hunt outside. The kids definitely got their fair of treats this Easter. I love this time of year as it starts to warm up for the summer.

St. George Trip

We took a much needed getaway to St. George the first weekend in April for conference weekend. We had such a good time . The weather was perfect and we were able to do a lot with the kids. We went to Red Rock and took the kids on some little hikes. They loved it.









































They loved
going to the splash park and just playing like crazy in the water. Even Max joined in on the fun and played in the water. They loved going to get frozen yogurt at Menchies after playing for a treat. Our new favorite.






















This trip we went for our first time to the Dinosaur Museum. The kids thought it was pretty cool. All in all it was a great trip to spend some great time together. We're so grateful for Grandma and Grandpa Jolley to let us stay in their condo.

Kaya Gets Baptized

I can't believe the time came when my baby girl was old enough to be baptized. It was such a great day for her. She was able to be baptized with her best friend Ellie and Ellie's cousin Isabel. The girls were so cute and were just glowing. All the girls sang "When I am Baptized" during the program as the musical number. They did so great. I was so proud of them.

We then broke up and went to our own homes for our luncheons with our families. It was such a great day. I just can't believe I didn't get a picture of her and her daddy in their baptism whites. Oh well!!
